On a trip to Berkeley we stopped in the Oakland Habitat for Humanity Re-store (we love their stores and live currently a block away from one).

We found a bay window for $356 which we bought rather fast since a new one was priced for our budget sheet at $1625.  We recognized a deal when we saw one.  Finally.

It is really cute and will add some charm and coziness to the couch are nook.  We are so happy.  Now we have a floor to lay on, a window to look out of and just need a few more things before we have a whole house!

We have landed and after all the struggle, adventure, drama etc it all seems so worthwhile. We are now parked in a lovely and peaceful place just north of Santa Rosa. Bucolic bliss has become a reality. I got everything on my list: well water, garden, wildlife, quiet (can't even hear airplanes!) and lovely neighbors. Thanks to everyone for the prayers, help, moral support, and patience during this challenging project. About another year and we should be finished.... Ha : )
